About Adam Schmidt Illustration

  I create custom cover designs and interior art using a combination of traditional and digital painting methods, specializing in fantasy, sci-fi and cartography. I also do the occasional album cover.  

 My process is standard for illustration. First, I communicate with my clients to best understand their needs, then create preliminary thumbnail sketches. Once a sketch is chosen, I then create a more refined drawing and color comps. During these phases, adjustments are common to ensure the client is happy with the composition before I move on to final art.
